New KISS Boxed Set Aimed At Fans, Not Collectors

You know them, you love them, the hottest band in the world, KISS. For the past 40 years they have been at the top, with a few dark years, of rock and roll. In their early days they were signed to Casablanca records and released a heap of singles for them, which have been compiled into a new boxed set titled "The Casablanca Singles." Released in December 2012 on CD and Vinyl.

The music is vital to any KISS fan. A lot of the singles included in this are ones that you would be hard pressed to find and add to a collection quite nicely. "Rock and Roll All Nite," "Detroit Rock City," "Hard Luck Woman","Beth", "
C'mon And Love Me" and "I Was Made For Loving You" are all gems of this early collection. Fair warning, however, this isn't the ENTIRE collection of their early singles, only a large selection. For a fan this is fine, but collectors might argue that point.

The box set itself contains a stunning die cut shadow box, an etched metal plate made of silver, twenty six collectible picture sleeve linings, a booklet which tracks the chart history of each single from this portion of the Kiss musical legacy, 4 KISS masks of each band member and more. With this box sets price tag fans are getting quite a unique set of memorabilia along with the great music that lies within.

The problem with the boxed set is that many collectors take issue with an incomplete set of music. However, it is the legacy of this, the most exciting times in the Kiss legacy, coupled with exclusive memorabilia which fans will welcome and find value in. As to whether you should buy this box or not depends on what you're hoping to get. Overall, there is quite a lot of value for what you get in return.
