Both players had an impeccable timing and wrote great instrumentals. Among Freddie Kings' best are "Hideaway", "Sen-Sa-Shun" and "The Stumble". Gatemouth's claim to fame includes the phenomenal "Okie Dokie Stomp". All these instrumentals are finger busters and are often played verbatim at jam sessions. Check them out! This style solo is in straight time, because even jump blues players can get tired of playing up-tempo shuffles all night. It uses double stops, playing sixth intervals and rakes.
