"Slow Ride" is a song composed by 'Lonesome' Dave Peverett and recorded by the rock band Foghat, appearing in 1975 on their fifth album "Fool For The City". This was Foghat's most successful single, peaking at number 20 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also appears on the 1977 album "Foghat Live", which was their best-selling album at over two million copies. In 2009, "Slow Ride" was named the 45th best hard rock song of all time by VH1. Foghat are a British rock band who had their peak success in the mid- to late-1970s. Their style can be described as 'blues-rock', dominated by the electric and electric slide guitars. The band has achieved five gold records. The group remained popular during the disco era, but their popularity waned in the early 1980s. There are 5 versions of "Slow Ride" on the market.
