Description

A Worldwide Favorite Band For Blues Rock&Boogie Rock, "Foghat" Is Best Known For Their 1975-1976 Smash "Slow Ride". The First Foghat Single From 1972 Was A Remake Of A Song Originally Released In 1954 By Muddy Waters Called "Just Make Love To Me"...With A Foghat Title Changed To "I Just Want To Make Love To You". Our Featured Song Is The Second Foghat Single From The Spring Of 1973 Called "What A Shame". It's A Hard Driving Rocker That Includes Something You Rarely Hear On A Rock Tune...Horns! I Think The Brass Really Adds A Certain "Coolness" To The Song. It Reminds Me Of The Horns Prominent In The Alice Cooper Hit "Under My Wheels" From 1972. "What A Shame" Only Reached #82 On The American "Hot 100"....But It Helped Pave The Way For Foghat's Continued Success On FM Rock Radio. Unfortunately In The 2000's, We Saw The Passing Of Founding Members Dave Peverett At Age 56 And Rod Price At Age 57. Special Radio Station Jingle Introduction From One Of America's Greatest FM Rocker's....The Buzzard WMMS 100.7 FM In Cleveland, Ohio.
